2022 ended with the lowest result in bovine slaughter

At the end of 2022, the Livestock Slaughter Survey of the National Administrative Department of Statistics (DANE) reported that a total of 3,107,462 head of cattle and 38,323 of buffalo cattle were obtained , for a total of 3,145,785 animals. The first is not only 5.9% lower than in 2021 , but it is the lowest result in recent years . On the other hand, that of buffaloes grew and represents the best figure in a decade.
