Ranchers would go on strike in protest against the bill that would prohibit exports of live animals

A message is circulating on social networks that invites Colombian ranchers to strike against the bill presented by Senator Andrea Padilla, of the Green Party, which would progressively prohibit the maritime export of live animals for consumption purposes, among other provisions.

The ranchers’ claim is due to the serious economic effects that the entry into force of this initiative would bring at a time when cattle exports are the highest in the last 13 years.
