Slaughter data shows an increase in supply

According to the data reported by the National Directorate of Agricultural Trade Control, during the month of August the slaughter plants reported a production of 289,416 tons of beef. In absolute terms, these figures show an increase of 8.5% compared to what was produced in August of last year. Likewise, so far this year, the accumulated growth is 4.4%, totaling 2,044,653 tons, 85,500 tons of meat more than those produced a year ago.
