Colombian meat arrives with force to Russia despite the blockade of the financial system

Despite the logistical problems, the war in Ukraine and mainly the block to the entry of foreign currency after the expulsion of that country from the SWIFT payment system, the Russian market continues to be key for Colombian beef exports since they boosted the windows to that destination throughout the years until September, although this activity focuses on the operations of a foreign company. In practical terms, companies in the Colombian meat industry cannot export to that destination due to restrictions on the entry of foreign currency, with which sales from Latin America would be made in a triangulated manner with other markets, according to some sources in the sector. They preferred not to be cited.
