Meat exports rise, but legal cerrtainty is a concern
During the first half of 2022, beef exports exceeded 80 million dollars, a value close to the 98 million reached throughout 2021. According to the livestock sector, it is possible to improve both production and exports, as long as the authorities guarantee legal certainty and free transit through the roads where production circulates.
The president of the Federation of Livestock Farmers of Santa Cruz, Fegasacruz, Adrián Castedo, reported that, in the last five years, the average growth of the livestock sector in Bolivia is 3.3 percent, something that he considers very low compared to the country’s potential.
