Opening Argentine beef import market will not reduce its cost: GCMA

After Mexico opened the  import market for beef from Argentina , the Grupo Consultor de Mercados Agrícolas ( GCMA ) affirmed that the measure is totally political, since it will not pay to reduce the costs of meat in Mexico. According to data from the organization specialized in the agro-industrial sector, Argentina is the fourth world producer of meat, with 2.96 thousand tons , and the fourth exporter, with 700 thousand tons; while Mexico is the fifth world producer, with 2.18 billion tons, and the eighth exporter, with 318 thousand tons.
